Cheer Up Emo Kid, Things Will Get Better [09 Jul 2006|10:31am]
[ mood | bored ]

Who is up for a Sheetz excursion?
Nothing is going on really.
I need to get an estimate on the tattoo I want to get. Maybe do that tomorrow.

Well, kiddies, a little news for you all. Prepare to be amazed. Are you ready? Okay, here it is. I, yes, me, I have a boyfriend. Yay! (The yay comes from a gay.) His name is Cody and he's really tall and likes video games and probably is only dating me because I look like an anime character. But that's okay.
So that's the update. Cheer and have parties about it if you want, I know I am and stuff.

Did You See The Stylish Kids In The Riot? [10 Jun 2006|10:01am]
[ mood | good ]

Yesterday was fantastic. Nick is home for the weekend. We had a bonfire thing at Evan's house and got fun things to eat and bunches of nice people came. It was lovely and made me smile.
I am going with Cody to see the new X-Men movie, everyone says it is good, so I am thinking it should be grand. Then, I am going with Cody to his house for his graduation get together thingy. Fred's cousin will be there, as will Mike, Jaren, eventually Samantha and whoever else shows up.
I made no bake cookies because my grandmother set oatmeal, powdered chocolate and peanut butter on my desk to drop the hint. So, I was in the kitchen at six in the morning making no bake cookies. Wonderful.
I need to be ready by 11:30, but I keep getting distracted from that.
I am digging the angel smiley on my 'mood' area.
Who wants to have tons of fun with me this summer? I am going to try not to work for forever so I can still do glorious things with everyone.

Oh Word [08 Jun 2006|07:12pm]
[ mood | refreshed ]

The school year ended today. Quite lovely. People are graduating right now.
I have to start my college searching and stuff, to get my applications in and junk. So, if anyone would like to go to any of the following colleges with me to check them out, let me know...
- Alleghany
- Susquehanna
- Penn State Altoona
- University of Pittsburgh (Main Campus)

There could be more coming, but those are the ones I can think of off the top of my head. Of course those are not counting the ones in England because you cannot drive to those. Danielle, within the next year, if you would like, we can go on a little weekend trip to Boston and you can look at Harvard and I can look at other fun things.

Something Really Gay Is Beside Me [07 Jun 2006|10:07pm]
[ mood | curious ]

This week has been pretty swell, except for the dieting part. Trying to get back on track with that and stuff.
School will be over tomorrow.
I hung out with some cool fun people on Monday and it all made me happy inside, this event is now to be part of my Monday routine. Tis way cool.
By the by, Fred is beside me.

Did you ever feel so fucked up you just wanted to bash your head into a wall until you were bleeding everywhere?
I doubt you have, but I kind of have that feeling right now.

I may be getting a job at Homewood. Sam and I put in applications because we like the elderly. I may check into the Kittyhawk restaurant thing and Movie Gallery. If I could still work at the Herald, that would be cool. If anyone has any suggestions of places to apply, that would be great. I won't work fast food though.
Dad isn't really working right now because of some job complications, so I need to pay for more stuff on my own. I don't want to get into my account at the bank more than I have already.
My allergies are mega bad right now. I feel like I am dying pretty much.

That's Not What Happened [21 May 2006|12:31pm]
[ mood | energetic ]

I am going to start collecting sunglasses and hats.
No reason.
Brent's Senior Send-Off Party Extravaganza is today. I am going to be fashionably late.
I am going to dye my hair a new colour when I get my dye from Bradley.
I am going to dye my hair dark brown for when I take my driver's test because Papa wants me to have normal hair for that event. It will be something different and probably short-lived... or maybe, just maybe I will like it lots.

Happy Tax Increase Day [21 May 2006|11:30am]
[ mood | bored ]

Take a gander at this fun time...

(May 21) - The $69 billion tax cut bill that President Bush signed this week tripled tax rates for teenagers with college savings funds, despite Mr. Bush's 1999 pledge to veto any tax increase.

Under the new law, teenagers age 14 to 17 with investment income will now be taxed at the same rate as their parents, not at their own rates. Long-term capital gains and dividends that had been taxed at 5 percent will now be taxed at 15 percent. Interest that had been taxed at 10 percent will now be taxed at as much as 35 percent.

The increases, which are retroactive to the first day of the year, are expected to generate nearly $2.2 billion over 10 years, according to the Congressional Joint Committee on Taxation, which issues the official estimates.

Over all, the tax bill that Mr. Bush signed Wednesday reduces taxes by $69 billion.

Mr. Bush pledged in 1999 to veto any bill that raised taxes. In response to a question about the tax increase on teenagers in the new legislation, the White House issued a statement Friday that made no reference to the tax increase, but recounted the tax cuts the administration has sponsored and stated that President Bush had "reduced taxes on all people who pay income taxes."

Challenged on that point, the White House modified its statement 21 minutes later to say that Mr. Bush had "reduced taxes on virtually all people who pay income taxes."

The deputy White House press secretary, Kenneth A. Lisaius, declined to discuss the reasons Mr. Bush broke his pledge or anything else beyond the modified statement, which emphasized the $880 billion in tax reductions from tax laws Mr. Bush signed in 2001 and 2003.

Americans for Tax Reform, an influential lobbying group that seeks to reduce taxes, had led the drive to press politicians to pledge no new taxes. The pledge has been signed by 256 members of the House and the Senate, nearly all of them Republicans, and by thousands of candidates for state and local office.

The pledge commits signers to "oppose any and all efforts to increase the marginal tax rates for individuals and businesses." Mr. Bush went beyond the pledge when he was seeking the Republican nomination for president.

"If elected president, I will oppose and veto any increase in individual or corporate marginal income tax rates or individual or corporate income tax hikes," he wrote in June 1999 to Grover Norquist, president of the Americans for Tax Reform.

Mr. Norquist, in an interview Thursday, said he was unaware that the bill raised taxes and tax rates on teenagers with college savings funds because "no one here noticed" the provisions. But Mr. Norquist called the bill raising taxes on teenagers with investment income "a technical violation of the pledge" and noted that his group opposes all retroactive tax increases. He pledged to immediately begin a campaign to have the tax increases rescinded.

I saw the trees

[20 May 2006|11:38pm]
[ mood | refreshed ]

I went with Brady, Scott and Chris to State College for record shopping last night. It was a fun time. I got some records to listen to at my dad's house. I got a little Fleetwood Mac and Bob Dylan.
Bradley got his license yesterday, so Emily and I went with him to Altoona. Later, Fred met up with us and we chilled at the mall and went to other wonderful places in Altoona. On the way home, we decided to go to Sheetz in Hollidaysburg and talk about random stuff in the parking lot.

If You Have Lost Your Faith In Love And Music, The End Won't Be Long [18 May 2006|04:48pm]
[ mood | restless ]

Tonight is the band/choir concert at the high school. Come if you would like, it starts at 6:30. Shall be a good show and then there is food after the show, totally worth it.
I am sick of school. Everyone seems to be.
I prayed for rain last night when I was on a walk. It then happened. Crazy things happen, I suppose.
